ࡱ> /1. bjbjVV 4<< f'====$~ `====C=R.:0,hCC@ : CCPU October 6, 2011 Minutes Present: Brett Eberhardt, David Rohall, Jeff Laurent, Jacob Woodworth, Dana Lindemann, Rafael Obregon and Miriam Satern Introductions - The meeting started with the introduction of Rafael to the new members. Rafael mentioned he has notes from the last meeting in the spring that accidentally got thrown away but that documented the election of co-chairs David and Dana and believes it important to have this on record. Dana confirms Miriam documented the election of co-chairs. Jacob wonders if students can approach building representatives about problems in the building. An example was a toilet overflowing in a building during the weekend. Approval of Minutes Rafael approves the minutes taken for the September 2nd meeting and Jeff seconds. After I asked advice on taking minutes Jeff suggests that the minutes follow the Agenda Outline. Updates from Chair Every five years there is an updating team in regards to the master plan for the university. David is on this committee that will meet in the next week. In the last meeting there was a question about mapping the trees on campus. The trees are already mapped and can be found at HYPERLINK "http://gis.wiu.edu/wiu_trees/"http://gis.wiu.edu/wiu_trees/ David asks if we want a representative on the committee hiring a landscape architect? The president is commissioning a parking plan for the New Performing Arts center. Science Complex Miriam brings up Kens emphasis in his last visit of the science complex. David asks if we have representation on the update team for the science complex? Eric is on the Implementation committee. Dana wants to know what the faculty have to say in the building/planning of the science complex and thinks we should have a representative on this committee. Rafael agrees. Dana has been reading the faculty senate minutes which are posted on the provosts website and suggests this as a way of gaining information about future plans for the university. David says our roles are reversed, instead of gaining our knowledge from the faculty senate minutes, we should be advising them on issues in the realm of CCPU. David suggests we find a way of getting good information from Sherman Hall about future campus plans. Dana suggests we request a meeting with President Thomas. The Godfathers Pizza building is demolished. The Theater will become a welcome center, a one-stop shop for welcoming and enrolling students. Dana reads minutes from the Board of Trustees and their approval of this. Miriam recounted an NPR story with President Thomas discussing the arts corridor. Jacob asks if there is a place for students to find out about the universitys master plan. David suggests Scott give us an overview of the Master Plan during a meeting. FAQs page Dana suggests someone on the committee should take a leap and go about tying up the lose ends to the FAQs page. Rafael will take a look at it. Jacob is unclear where the document will eventually be located on the universitys website and whether or not he will need access and permission to post it. David responds the FAQs page will be located under CCPU. Rafael refers Jacob to a contact at Web Development. David suggests we get it up with the info we have now and improve as we go. Building representative list Its brought up how we would like to contact building representatives? With a questionnaire? Ask a question for example; what three things need work on your building? Rafael brings up that there is a map of the whole campus that could be linked to building representatives list. This map is not online, but a GIS Graphic Information map that shows buildings and floor plans etc. Rafael will look into its availability. Discussion Dana points out that the CCPU Committee is listed as meeting less than once a month. Raphael will bring up this fact with Kathy Neumann. Rafael brings up Jacobs comment from the start of the meeting, how to go about disseminating information to students about building representatives? # $ D@IKLNhaGhf>j5hWghh3hhf>j0Jjhf>jUh-hf>jH*h^gh?h3hf>j hf>j5haGhr/b5 hr/b5- w x ( F $a$gdf>jgd? & Fgdf>jgdf>j$a$gdf>j21h:pf>j/ =!"#$% j 666666666vvvvvvvvv666666>6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666866666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p(8HX`~ OJPJQJ_HmH nH sH tH J`J jNormal dCJ_HaJmH sH tH DA`D Default Paragraph FontRiR Table Normal4 l4a (k ( No List HoH aG No SpacingCJ_HaJmH sH tH 6U@6 SU0 Hyperlink >*B*phRR r0 Balloon Text dCJOJQJ^JaJN/!N r0Balloon Text CharCJOJQJ^JaJPK![Content_Types].xmlj0Eжr(΢Iw},-j4 wP-t#bΙ{UTU^hd}㨫)*1P' ^W0)T9<l#$yi};~@(Hu* Dנz/0ǰ $ X3aZ,D0j~3߶b~i>3\`?/[G\!-Rk.sԻ..a濭?PK!֧6 _rels/.relsj0 }Q%v/C/}(h"O = C?hv=Ʌ%[xp{۵_Pѣ<1H0ORBdJE4b$q_6LR7`0̞O,En7Lib/SeеPK!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xml M @}w7c(EbˮCAǠҟ7՛K Y, e.|,H,lxɴIsQ}#Ր ֵ+!,^$j=GW)E+& 8PK!Ptheme/theme/theme1.xmlYOo6w toc'vuر-MniP@I}úama[إ4:lЯGRX^6؊>$ !)O^rC$y@/yH*񄴽)޵߻UDb`}"qۋJחX^)I`nEp)liV[]1M<OP6r=zgbIguSebORD۫qu gZo~ٺlAplxpT0+[}`jzAV2Fi@qv֬5\|ʜ̭NleXdsjcs7f W+Ն7`g ȘJj|h(KD- dXiJ؇(x$( :;˹!
