Hamm Named May Employee of the Month at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼

MACOMB, IL – Annette Hamm, an office manager with the Faculty Senate, has been named the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Al & Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month for May.
Hamm was hired at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ in December 1985 as a secretary III in educational/public service radio. In June 1997, she was reclassified to secretary IV. In July 1991, the department was reorganized into SECE, and in August 2002, Hamm was transferred as a secretary IV to the Faculty Senate. In November 2007, she was reclassified as an office manager.
Hamm's nominator said they have never met anyone who approaches their job with such a positive attitude.
"She is strongly committed to continuous improvement and has made suggestions to the administration that were beneficial to student retention," the nominator said. "She is diligent and insightful, and her ability to find historical documents and keep the work flow on track is commendable."
In August 2010, the Goldfarbs established an endowment to permanently fund the University's Civil Service Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards. The Goldfarb endowment is used to fund a $100 award for the recipient of the Civil Service Employee of the Month, as well as a plaque and a $500 stipend for the Civil Service Employee of the Year.
