Hamner to Deliver Genetics and the Soul Lecture Feb. 28 at 澳门六合彩历史记录

MACOMB, IL 鈥� 澳门六合彩历史记录 Associate Professor of English Everett Hamner will deliver "Editing the Soul: Science and Fiction in the Genome Age," at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Morgan Hall, 101A.
Hamner will talk about what it means to be a human being in the age of genetic engineering and how this and other questions are explored in contemporary literature, film, comics and television series 鈥� through fictional futures that might shape the decisions made about genetic engineering.
Brief responses will be offered by 澳门六合彩历史记录 Biological Science Professor Shawn Meagher and 澳门六合彩历史记录 English Professor Shazie Rahman.
The lecture is sponsored by 澳门六合彩历史记录's departments of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Biological Sciences and English and the College of Arts and Sciences.
