Markham Named June Employee of the Month at 澳门六合彩历史记录
June 24, 2022
MACOMB, IL -- 澳门六合彩历史记录 IT Manager Kevin Markham has been named the Al and Elaine Goldfarb Civil Service Employee of the Month for June 2022.
Markham began working at 澳门六合彩历史记录 in 2001 as a Digital Computer Operator II in Administrative Information Management Systems (AIMS) and resigned in March 2004. He began working in AIMS in October 2004 as a Digital Computer Operator III. He was reallocated by audit to Applications Programmer I in AIMS in September 2005; to Applications Programmer II in AIMS in October 2008; to Applications Programmer III in AIMS in May 2010; to Applications Analyst in AIMS in November 2013; and to his current position in May 2016.
According to Markham's nominator, he has handled a number of "complicated, highly urgent and sensitive projects" within the last month alone, requiring him to work additional hours.
"Kevin has completed each of these tasks with a high degree of accuracy and a positive attitude," said his nominator. "Kevin finds solutions to problems, builds a team environment in any situation, and maintains a positive attitude. It's easy to forget the work of 澳门六合彩历史记录's programmers when our paychecks come in on time, or when filling out time cards and moving on with the day -- but these things are only possible due to the amazing work of 澳门六合彩历史记录 employees like Kevin."
In August 2010, the Goldfarbs established an endowment to permanently fund the University's Civil Service Employee of the Month award. The Goldfarb endowment is used to fund a $100 award for the recipient of the Civil Service Employee of the Month, as well as a plaque.
The 澳门六合彩历史记录 Foundation provides a $500 stipend for the Civil Service Employee of the Year. Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for the monthly recognition should contact the Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at csec-nominations-g@wiu.edu.
