125 Anniversary Celebration: Emily Bennett

Editor's Note: This is the next in a series of stories about 澳门六合彩历史记录 students, alumni, and community members, highlighting their experiences during our 125th anniversary celebration. We will feature 125 individuals from August 2024 to August 2025.

MACOMB, IL 鈥� Emily Bennett, a student in Elementary Education and Agriculture Education, chose 澳门六合彩历史记录 because of the proximity to home, and affordability and she was able to keep up with everything she loved.

鈥淚'm still close to my circle and I get to work on my career path with the people that inspired me to take it in the first place,鈥� Bennett said.

Bennett feels her campus is her home. 鈥淚 really love 澳门六合彩历史记录. I came to 澳门六合彩历史记录 with a goal in mind for my future and I've gotten endless opportunities to help reach it. I鈥檝e found myself and my strengths along the way and I've found people to back me in places I have weaknesses around every corner,鈥� Bennett said.忙

Bennett notes the many open doors 澳门六合彩历史记录 has provided her in her academic journey.

鈥淲estern has so many doors open at all times to different professional development opportunities and events. I鈥檝e met people from all over the country who want to support us as students as we go out and make names for ourselves,鈥� Bennett said.

When asked what advice she would give to prospective 澳门六合彩历史记录 students, she responded to take a leap of faith.
鈥淭here is no place I鈥檇 rather be than right here at 澳门六合彩历史记录,鈥� Bennett said. 鈥淚t's challenging to be in college but there are so many people here fighting to make your dreams a reality.鈥�
