澳门六合彩历史记录 Noyce Project Celebrates New Scholars at Signing Day Event

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL 鈥 The 澳门六合彩历史记录 Noyce Project proudly welcomed its two newest Noyce Scholars at a Signing Day celebration September 7, in Morgan Hall. The Signing Day event concluded a workshop for area math and science teachers as well as current and new Noyce scholars, highlighting their commitment to teaching STEM in high-needs districts.

鈥淭he Noyce Project at 澳门六合彩历史记录 is an NSF-funded project that provides scholarships for qualified undergraduates who want to teach STEM in high-needs schools. Today we celebrate the addition of 2 new scholars to our program as well as the opportunity to provide professional development for all of our scholars and local STEM teachers. Congratulations Marie and Drew on this prestigious award and welcome to our Noyce family,鈥 澳门六合彩历史记录 Mathematics and Philosophy Professor and NOYCE Coordinator said.

This fall, Andrew Hauser, a Biology major and Marie Nelson, a Mathematics major, joined the Noyce Project鈥檚 scholarship program. They join five other Noyce Scholars at 澳门六合彩历史记录, receiving full scholarships that cover tuition, fees, housing and books, along with opportunities for professional development through STEM-focused conferences and workshops.
