°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Cybersecurity Center to Host Lecture Series for Cybersecurity Awareness Month

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - In recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼'s Cybersecurity Center will offer a series of five presentations to educate students, faculty and the local community on the importance of securing personal and organizational data. These sessions aim to raise awareness about the collective responsibility to protect valuable assets from cyber threats.

Each presentation will be conducted via Zoom and will cover topics including cybersecurity basics, identifying scam emails and websites, mobile security and career paths in cybersecurity. The lecture series is open to all members of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ community and the public.

Lecture Series Schedule:

Cybersecurity 101
This session will introduce the fundamentals of cybersecurity and discuss steps to safeguard personal devices and data. The importance of collective responsibility in securing information at home and in the workplace will also be highlighted.
