Polly Radosh

Trustee Polly Radosh retired from 澳门六合彩历史记录 in 2008 after 24 years on the faculty, where she was a professor of sociology and founding chair of the Department of Women鈥檚 Studies. Dr. Radosh was the recipient of multiple awards and honors at 澳门六合彩历史记录, including four faculty excellence awards, the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award, the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Service Award, the College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Multicultural Teaching Award, the Provost鈥檚 Award for Excellence in Multicultural Teaching, and she was named the 2007 Distinguished Faculty Lecturer. While at 澳门六合彩历史记录, Dr. Radosh published numerous scholarly articles, books, and conference papers. Her research topics included women in the Irish diaspora, midwifery, and gender and race in crime and corrections.

After retiring from 澳门六合彩历史记录, Dr. Radosh was the Dean of the College at the State University of New York at Geneseo from 2008-2011. In that position, she supervised the registrar, campus advising, disability support services, curriculum review and implementation, summer session, scholarships, and course scheduling.

In her spare time Dr. Radosh volunteers at the Good Food Collaborative Food Pantry, serves on the executive board of the McDonough County Branch of the NAACP, and works with 澳门六合彩历史记录 Archives and University Television in an ongoing project, The Women of Western, which documents women鈥檚 historical contributions to 澳门六合彩历史记录.

The Good Hope, IL resident received her Ph.D. and Masters of Arts in Sociology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She was Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2019-2021.
