Albert Goldbarth, Spring 2009

Albert Goldbarth is the author of over twenty books of poetry including Budget Travel Through Time and Space and more recently his New and Selected Poems: The Kitchen Sink. He has twice won the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry. For those who don’t know his work, imagine an erudite version of a Billy Collins or Robert Pinsky. He is also the author of five collections of essays including Many Circles, which was the winner of the Pen West Creative Nonfiction Award, and a novel Pieces of Payne.

On Tuesday, April 7 @ 7:00pm he gave a reading in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Art Gallery. On Wednesday, April 8 @ 4:30, he held a question and answer session on the craft of writing in the Writing Center (Simpkins 341) for any and all interested parties. All events were free and open to the public.
