Mechanical Engineering Program Details

Campus Availability: Quad Cities and Macomb*
(*Last two years must be completed in the Quad Cities) - Students can choose from three emphases:
- Design Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Robotics Engineering
- Ample opportunities for practical, hands-on, educational engineering experiences through Western鈥檚 links to businesses, manufacturers and industry.
- Students can start paid internships as early as their sophomore year if enrolled in the engineering program, have the opportunity to 鈥渆arn while they learn鈥 and, at the same time, gain invaluable practical experience.
- The senior capstone design projects typically are completed with industry, often at their facility, and many times result in an offer of employment before graduation.
