teaches in the Emergency Management Program at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼.Ìý Dr. Urby previously taught at Texas A&M International University, served as a Teaching Fellow III at the University of North Texas, as adjunct professor and lecturer at Texas Woman’s University, University of Texas at Arlington, and Sul Ross State University (TX).Ìý He earned his juris doctor (JD) degree from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law (Houston), and his doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration and Management from the University of North Texas (Denton).Ìý Dr. Urby, an attorney for over 40 years, has research/writing experience in Peru, Paraguay, Costa Rica, and Mexico on Latin American Emergency Management Systems (chapters contained in the McEntire Comparative Emergency Management Systems e-book).Ìý Dr. Urby has presented at local, state, and national venues, and has produced a number of seminal and other peer-reviewed publications (including the Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Journal of Emergency Management, Law Enforcement Executive Forum, and The Conversation -- Canada).Ìý He hopes to continue assisting students who contribute in service to others for years to come through expertise and specialized knowledge in the Emergency Management field, discipline, and profession.
