Visit: Eric Ginsberg has been Professor of Clarinet and Clarinetist in the Camerata Woodwind Quintet, in residence at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, since 1996. As a member of the Camerata Woodwind Quintet he participated in the recording for Crystal Records of Jacques Hetú's Quintette, opus 13; Anthony Iannaccone's Woodwind Quintet No. 2, Scenes after Hart Crane; John Steinmetz's Quintet. In addition, he recorded James Stevenson's The Devil's Tale for Ravello Records with the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Faculty Chamber Players He is also a faculty member at the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, North Carolina, and performs with the Peoria Symphony and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony. He was previously visiting professor of clarinet at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where, as a member of the Moran Woodwind Quintet, he recorded a compact disc of woodwind quintets by Theodore Blummer, also for Crystal. He was a member of the Oklahoma Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra of Oklahoma City, the Lincoln (NE) Symphony, and the Omaha Symphony. He studied at the Juilliard School, where he received both his bachelor and master of music degrees. During his time in New York City he performed with the Goldman Band, New York City Ballet, and the Brooklyn Philharmonic. In addition, he has participated in the Aspen and Spoleto Music festivals, and performed with the Con Spirito Woodwind Quintet in Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra. He studied with Ben Armato in high school and Stanley Drucker at the Juilliard School. His work over many years with Kalmen Opperman remains a continuing inspiration.
