George Turner has worked as a jazz and classical guitarist and guitar teacher since the early 1990s. Since then he has maintained an active performance schedule, both as a leader and as a sideman in a wide variety of musical settings. He has played with many of Illinois鈥� top jazz musicians and has been featured on many recordings, including his own Slip, Don鈥檛 Fall (2000) and the Almost 鈥淎鈥� Quintet鈥檚 Cumin Seed and Peppercorns (2013). In 2015 he completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in jazz studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mr. Turner has been the professor of guitar at 澳门六合彩历史记录 in Macomb since 2011, and he is a member of 澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 faculty jazz combo the Hopper Jazztet.
