Dr. Nicole Gillotti, a versatile performer and educator, is currently Assistant Professor of Trumpet at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼. Before her appointment at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, she served on the faculty at Texas A&M International University from 2019-2023. Her students have performed at the National Trumpet Competition and International Trumpet Guild Conference, held positions as music educators, and pursued advanced study at universities across the United States. She has served as an adjudicator at the National Trumpet Competition and a clinician at multiple universities, including Utah State University, the University of Connecticut, the University of Akron, and the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Dr. Gillotti is an active chamber musician and can be heard performing with Lamoine Brass Quintet, the resident faculty ensemble at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼. Additionally, she co-founded Hint of Lime Brass, a brass trio that has performed at various universities, conferences, and performance venues to premiere new music for brass trio. Dr. Gillotti has been a member of many professional performing ensembles across the country, such as the Laredo Philharmonic, Victoria Symphony, Richardson Symphony, McKinney Philharmonic, San Antonio Brass Band, Trailblazer Brass (Laredo, TX), Illinois State University Faculty Brass Quintet, Transit Brass Octet, Champaign-Urbana Symphony, Millikin-Decatur Symphony, and Berks Sinfonietta. In addition, she has performed at conferences, festivals, and competitions throughout the United States and Europe, including the International Women’s Brass Conference, SHE: Festival for Women in Music, Music by Women Festival, Orvieto Musica, and the International Trumpet Guild Conference. An advocate for the creation and performance of new music, she recently completed recording her debut solo CD, Many Faces, featuring commissioned works by Amy Dunker, Kim Osberg, and Ralph Lewis, released in 2023.

Dr. Gillotti received a B.S. in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an M.M. in Trumpet Performance from Illinois State University, and a D.M.A. in Trumpet Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
