Biographical Sketch: Alexis Villasenor, MS, is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management, with minors in Spanish and Psychology from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ in 2015. Professor Villasenor earned her Master of Science in Threat and Response Management at the University of Chicago, Illinois, in June 2020. She completed a capstone sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, entitled,ÌýTheÌý
Economic Impact of Disrupting Critical NodesÌýWithin the Illinois Railway Infrastructure. Prior to joining the faculty at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, Professor Villasenor spent 2 years as a contractor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in New York City, NY, and Washington, D.C. Professor Villasenor previously worked as a Program Analyst within the Response Division and the Operations Division at FEMA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.. She has recently accepted a position at the FEMA Region 5 office, in Chicago, as an Emergency Management Specialist in the Public Assistance Division. Professor Villasenor has a passion for working with disaster survivors and finds it rewarding to be a part of the boots on the ground response after a disaster.
