°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Indian Student Organization to Host Diwali Night Nov. 12

MACOMB, IL - - °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼'s Indian Student Association will host its annual Diwali celebration from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 in the University Grand Ballroom.

The event will include Indian food, music, dance and a narrative into the history and meaning of Diwali. All students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend.

"This event showcases Indian heritage and culture," said °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Assistant Vice President of Global Studies, Randy Glean. "Indian students comprise the largest delegation on our campus---over 350 strong---and have led the cultural awareness of their rich, ancient heritage that helped to shape the course of modern civilization."
