Just Hired: Eli Sadler

Just Hired! Through the experiences of local, regional, national and international students, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ has some incredible alumni who are changing the world in the workforce. This series will feature students from all over the world who are hired post-graduation.

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Meet Eli Sadler, a Spring 2024 graduate of Museum Studies, with a Master of Arts degree, who recently accepted a position as assistant registrar at the prestigious Philadelphia Museum of Art.

"I am excited for the opportunity," Sadler said. "In this role, I will be responsible for coordinating the transportation and shipping of objects between museums, along with diligently inputting pertinent information into the museum's database."

Sadler is thrilled to work with the museum textile, costumes and European art collections, among others within the field.

Sadler notes the application process to get the job was straightforward but challenging with multiple rounds of progressively challenging interviews and a comprehensive background check.

When asked how his journey at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ prepared him for the workforce, Sadler responded with his growth over the years.

"Reflecting on my journey through the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ program, I realize the invaluable lessons it imparted, particularly emphasizing the significance of patience and continuous growth," Sadler said. "The pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds, and the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ program instilled in me the ethos of perpetual advancement within the field."

"It is a joy to see Eli transition from the classroom into this new and exciting phase of his professional career," °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Museum Studies Director Heidi Lung said. "Eli's success is a direct product of his dedicated persistence, hard work and never-ending growth mindset. This is a proud moment for the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Museum Studies program and we will be following and celebrating his continued success."
