Students Test Knowledge at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ STEM Camp

MACOMB, IL - - The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Cybersecurity Center organized a cyber competition for students participating in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼'s Youth Enrichment Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) camp, where high school students tested their knowledge.
Students participated in the annual STEM camp, exploring topics from agriculture and biological sciences to nursing, physics, and computer science. The week culminated in a team-based trivia competition centered on cybersecurity questions focused on securing personal devices, learning about careers in cybersecurity and how to protect yourself against security threats.
After the dust settled, the top three high school teams were:
First place: Abram Henrikson and Christopher Francis
Second place: Kylea Mays, Kimorah Tarleton and Elycia Robinson
Third Place: Fernando Alvarez and Jimin Kim
"The Cybersecurity Center at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ organizes competitions that allow students to interact, learn, and compete in a learning-centric environment," said Tahir Khan, Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Interim Director of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Cyber Security Center. "It was an enjoyable learning opportunity for all participants. I heartily congratulate the winning teams."
