°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Casa Latina Cultural Center Celebrates Latinx Heritage Month: A Time for Reflection, Celebration, and Community

MACOMB, IL - - The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Casa Latina Cultural Center will proudly honor Latinx Heritage Month by celebrating the rich culture, history and contributions of Latinx communities in October.
The month-long celebrations will kick off with the Bring Your Own Tortilla (BYOT) from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, and conclude with Dia de Los Muertos on Nov. 1.
"Latinx Heritage Month is a powerful reminder of the resilience and creativity of our communities," Casa Latina's Graduate Assistant Heidi Olivos said.
Casa Latina invites the campus community to participate in these events, support local Latinx artists and engage in meaningful conversations about the contributions of Latinx individuals throughout history. A full schedule of events and additional details can be found here.
"We are excited to celebrate together and to highlight the stories that enrich our collective history," Casa Latina graduate assistant Giovanni Donato said.
