MACOMB, IL – The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ is pleased to announce that Lynn Summers, building service worker, has been selected as the March Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Summers was described by her nominators as being pleasant, trustworthy, thoughtful and a “complete professional.” In addition, her nominators said that “Lynn always makes sure everything in our office is cared for – from the candy jars to the plants, she makes sure everything is clean, watered, swept, dusted and emptied,” and “When bids are put out (for building service assignments), we keep our fingers crossed that she will be the worker assigned to our area.”

Summers, who currently works in Sherman Hall, started at Western in 1978 as a buiding service worker.

“Lynn's work ethic and pride in a job well done are to be congratulated,” said Janet Koll, CSEC public relations officer.

Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should call Koll at 309/298-1811 or e-mail JM-Koll@wiu.edu.
