MACOMB, IL - - To recognize the historical, cultural, charitable and social contributions of women in the world, 澳门六合彩历史记录 will host a variety of activities during Women's History Month throughout March. This year's theme is "Women's Art: Women's Vision."

The 澳门六合彩历史记录 Women's Center has compiled a calendar of events recognizing women's contributions and achievements. According to Women's Center Director Janine Cavicchia, calendar items were solicited from academic and administrative departments, student organizations and members of the campus and surrounding communities to offer a spectrum of educational, cutlural and entertainment opportunities.

Cavicchia added that several of the programs tie in with this year's theme, which is determined annually by the National Women's History Project, while several others tie in with this year's campus theme of Environmental Sustainability.

Included in the month's activities are REAL Women: Women as Researchers, Educators, Activists & Leaders discussions led by 澳门六合彩历史记录 faculty and staff throughout the month; a Saturday, April 5 children's and maternity consignment sale; and films and panels discussing oppression of women, including the Thursday, March 27 presentation "Tears for Naomi: Cambodia's Sex Slave Industry," presented by Donna McCaw, associate professor in Western's educational leadership department.

Unless noted, all programs are open free to the public. For more information, contact the 澳门六合彩历史记录 Women's Center at 309/298-2242, or e-mail womenscenter@wiu.edu or visit www.wc.wiu.edu. The schedule is as follows:
