Free Financial Seminar at Quad Cities Center Feb. 22

As part of Financial Aid/Admissions Awareness Month (FAAM), the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Quad Cities center will host a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop Thursday, Feb. 22.

Financial aid professionals at the Quad Cities campus, located at 3561 60th Street, Moline, will present information and provide assistance at 11 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. Additional parking is available after 4:30 p.m. with a free, continuous shuttle bus from Christ the King Church at 3205 60th Street.

Students will also be able to gather information on financial aid sources, such as grants, scholarships, Federal Work-Study and educational loans.

Families will need to bring all completed or estimated 2000 income tax forms, as well as any other asset information, to complete the 2001-02 FAFSA. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼-Quad Cities will provide computer access for electronic filing of the FAFSA. To expedite the electronic filing process, families should complete as much of the form as possible beforehand.

The U.S. Department of Education provides the FAFSA, free of charge, on the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Applications are also available at high schools, colleges and libraries.
