Woerly: August EOM

MACOMB, IL – Jane Woerly, an office support specialist in the department of philosophy and religious studies at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, has been named the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ August Civil Service Employee of the Month.
According to her nominators, "Jane is a selfless employee who always goes above and beyond what is required for her position."
"Jane has participated in the trainings for Microsoft Excel and Access, which have increased the efficiency of the department considerably. She contributes positive and creative ways to benefit students and assist the faculty, which demonstrates commitment to our shared educational endeavor," her nominators added. "Jane brings experience and expertise in working within the administrative structure of this university. She always goes above the call of duty to assist whenever needed."
Woerly began working at Western as a clerk I in financial aid in June 1974. She resigned in November 1974 and was rehired as a secretary II in Student Residential Programs in May 1978. Woerly was promoted to clerk III within the same department in July 1979 and in October of that year, she transferred to a secretary III position in Student Residential Programs. In March 1981 she was audited to a data entry operator III. Woerly resigned in October 1981, and was rehired as a secretary III in dietetics, fashion merchandising and hospitality in July 2003. She was audited to a secretary IV in February 2004, and transferred to conferences and non-credit programs in May 2005. Woerly transferred to philosophy and religious studies in February 2006.
"Jane is to be congratulated for her efforts at Western and for going above and beyond the call of duty daily," said said Carla Farniok, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative.
