MACOMB, IL – Dana Vizdal, an office support specialist in the study abroad office at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, has been named the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ September Civil Service Employee of the Month.

According to her nominators, "Dana is extremely organized and efficient. She demonstrates both enthusiasm and outstanding performance when carrying out her job duties.

"Through her professional demeanor when interacting with offices across campus, she demonstrates the outgoing nature of the study abroad office," her nominators added. "Her experience as a student, as a student-employee, a graduate assistant and a temporary worker have allowed her to develop valuable insights and connections to so many other campus offices. She is the 'face' of study abroad and contributes to our positive image."

Vizdal was hired as an extra-help clerk in the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access in June 2006 through August 2006, and again in that office as an extra-help clerk July-August 2007. She was hired to her current position in April 2008.

"Dana is to be commended for her outstanding customer service and the positive impact she makes at Western," said Carla Farniok, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative.
