Billeter: January EOM
January 27, 2011
MACOMB, IL – Diane Billeter, a library specialist in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Leslie F. Malpass Library, is the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ January Civil Service Employee of the Month.
According to her nominators, "Diane volunteered to be involved in the library emergency building coordinator's team, which meant she was responsible for all documentation created for both local and campus documents on behalf of the Malpass Library. This was not part of her current duties and responsibilities and was a tedious process."
"Diane always puts the needs of the library users at the forefront of her efforts and provides excellent customer service by always going above and beyond to help users in the library," her nominators added. "She is quick and eager to learn new things and always reflects a positive, customer-driven service approach."
Billeter began working at Western as a library specialist in April 2006.
"It is an honor to recognize Diane for her commitment to Western," said Carla Farniok, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative. "Her impact on this campus represents the outstanding employees we have at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼."
Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should contact Farniok at (309) 298-2182 or e-mail CM-Farniok@wiu.edu.
