Western to offer "Art for Gifted and Talented Students"

MACOMB, IL -- Western Illiinois University has a cure for your child's summertime blues – "Art for Gifted and Talented Students," a summer camp for kids in grades four through eight who are in the gifted program at their school or who show a marked ability in art.
A camp will be held Sunday - Friday, June 17-22 for children who have completed the fourth, fifth or sixth grades, but have not yet entered the seventh grade. A Sunday - Friday, June 24-29 session is scheduled for students who have completed the sixth, seventh or eighth grades, but who have not yet entered ninth grade. Both camps will be held on the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ campus.
The program offers study in drawing and painting, computer art and various forms of three-dimensional expression.
The residential camper fee is $329 and includes tuition, art and computer supplies, all extracurricular activities, lodging and meals. Commuter students are charged $279 which includes the noon meal only; commuters may purchase breakfast and supper separately from the conference center if desired.
Participants are supervised by program faculty and carefully selected resident counselors to assume a safe and enjoyable experience.
