°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼’s summer art program is designed for students in grades 4 through 8. The 2024 program was led by Natalie Shelly (Macomb Park District Ceramics Coordinator & Lakeview Naturalist Educator), Susan Czechowki (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Professor of Art - Silkscreen, Design, Art Appreciation, Art in New York City), Tim Waldrop (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Professor of Art - Sculpture), Claire DeGraaf (Current °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Art Student - Senior) and Keosha Westphal (°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Art & Design Alumni).

Studio artist and educator originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, now residing and working in Macomb. Shelly is the ceramics coordinator and naturalist educator for the Macomb Park District. Has been an adjunct instructor at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, Spoon River College in Macomb, Illinois, Indiana University - Southeast in New Albany, Indiana, the Kentucky School of Art in Louisville, Kentucky, and the University of Missouri where I earned my MFA in Ceramics.Ìý

- Professor of Art (Silkscreen, Design, Art Appreciation, Art in New York City). She came to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ in 2001 after serving as an Instructor of Art at SUNY Oswego, Oswego, NY from 1999-2001. She earned an MFA in Printmaking from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY in 1999, and a BA degree from Washington College, Chestertown, MD. Her artwork has been exhibited internationally, nationally and is included in a number of private and public collections. Susan is a native of Long Island, New York. She is a member of Southern Graphics Council.

Tim Waldrop - Professor of Art, Drawing & Painting (Master of Fine Arts, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville) Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Waldrop has lived and worked in the Midwest since 1998. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from William Carey College in Gulfport, MS, in 1998, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2001. He is currently a professor in the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Department of Art and Design, and has been on campus for just over 20 years, having initially joined the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Department of Art in 2002. He teaches a number of courses including drawing, painting, 2D design and art appreciation.
