Local Leatherneck Housing Scholarships (2023-2024 Academic Year)
Local Leatherneck Housing scholarships are a one-time $3,000 award towards an on-campus residence hall room to students in the Western Illinois region.
What are the requirements?
- Incoming freshman or transfer student
- Resident of Adams, Brown, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Schuyler or Warren counties in Illinois
- Submit a current year FAFSA or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ as a school choice prior to the start of the semester of award
- Enroll full-time in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ undergraduate courses
What else do I need to know?
- Scholarships will be disbursed in equal amounts between the fall and spring semesters
- Total financial aid and scholarships cannot exceed the direct cost of attendance for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ (tuition, fees, on-campus housing, dining) and no cash refunds will be given
- Scholarships are subject to the availability of funds
- Available for domestic students only
How to Apply
- Apply by May 1 for freshmen or August 1 for transfers and then be accepted for admission at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ after application
- Complete your contract to live in University housing
