Pamela Peters is an assistant professor in the Department of Broadcasting and Journalism at Western
Illinois University.
Her research focuses on race, ethnic and gender issues in digital and social media spaces, especially
related to the digital divide and higher education. Her recent publications highlight the impact the
digital divide has on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and their student populations. Her
research has been presented at National Communication Association, Broadcast Educators Association
and Association for Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication conferences.
Her teaching covers multiple interests and crosses many platforms but has primarily been focused on
providing students with both practical and theoretical experiences in television, photography, audio and
multimedia journalism. She enjoys working collaboratively with students, while also mentoring them, in
the classroom and production settings.
Prior to coming to 澳门六合彩历史记录, Pamela was a graduate fellow at the University of Kansas.
For nine years she was an assistant professor of Mass Communication and director of the television,
digital media and social media programs at Lane College. She has multiple Kansas Association of
Broadcaster awards for her work in sports and television news along with documentary filmmaking. She
is also an award-winning landscape and nature photographer whose work has been recognized by
National Geographic, the International Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie de Paris Awards
and other international photography associations.
