Camp Leatherneck

Camp Leatherneck is a听FREE 2-day leadership retreat for incoming students that听focuses on individual leadership development, provides opportunities for student/faculty/staff interactions, emphasizes the importance of understanding diversity, and promotes social responsibility by participating in community service.听

14th Annual Camp Leatherneck is scheduled for August 13-15, 2024

What is Camp Leatherneck?听
    • Camp Leatherneck takes place prior to the start of the Fall semester.听 It focuses on leadership, service and building community with others.听 Its fun, engaging, and a great opportunity to start off strong leading into
Who can attend leatherneck camp?
    • Camp Leatherneck is invite only; and specifically designated for new, incoming students. Click here for more information.
Is the room that I move into for Camp Leatherneck the same room I will be living in during the academic year?
    • University Housing determines where Camp participants will live when moving in prior to the start of the academic year.听 Typically, if you live on campus, this will be your designated room for the year.
Will meals be provided during Camp Leatherneck?
    • Yes, meals are covered during the designated Camp program.听 Dining Centers on campus are not fully operational until the day all new students are scheduled to arrive.
What kind of activities will I be able to participate in during Camp Leatherneck?
    • Small and large group ice-breakers/teambuilders occur throughout Camp.听 Students also complete Leadership Inventories and learn success tips from various campus offices.听 A service activity is also part of the experience.

Camp Leatherneck 2024 Important Dates

Monday, May 27:听 Camp Application opens at 8:00am听

Sunday, July 7 : Camp Application closes at 11:59pm

Wednesday, July 10: Students will be notified via their 澳门六合彩历史记录 email address no later than this date if selected to attend Camp. NOTE:听 all correspondance from staff is sent to students' 澳门六合彩历史记录 email ONLY.听听

Tuesday, August 13: TENTATIVE Camper Move-in to Residence Halls (to be confirmed at a later date)

Tuesday, August 13:听 Camp Kick-off (early evening)

Wednesday, August 14: Camp Leatherneck (all day)

Thursday, August 15: Camp Leatherneck (concludes mid afternoon)
