Health Precautions

COVID-19 - You are REQUIRED to follow the policies of your host location, the CDC and TSA.Ìý It is your responsibility to know and understand these policies.Ìý If policies change before or during your Course, it is your responsbility to comply with the new policies.Ìý Failure to do so can result in removal from your Course and/or the host location, financial consequences and academic consequences.

Walking/mobility - Expect to walk 5-8Ìýmiles per day, mostly in urban environments.Ìý It is not consecutive but scheduled throughout the day.Ìý Walking will sometimes be over uneven terrain and up/down flights of stairs.Ìý You will also be responsible for moving your own luggage.

Environmental - Average daytime temperatures are in the mid-70s to 90 for this time period.Ìý Parts of the Course are held outside, rain or shine.Ìý Sun protection is strongly recommended.

Dietary -ÌýSome meals are included in the program cost. Contact Kim McDaniel Ìýif you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions.Ìý

Class sessions

Active class participation, including contribution to discussions and attendance, is expected in all phases of the Course.Ìý Students are responsible for completing pre-departure assignments including readings and discussion participation, attendance and active participation during on-site visits, guest lectures and activities, and post-return assignments.Ìý Questions about course content should be directed toÌý Susan Czechowski .
