Linköping University Summer Academy
Join students from around the world to study in Sweden as part of the Linköping University Summer Academy.Ìý Limited to students from LiU's partner unversities, the Summer Academy offers six courses to choose from in a variety of topic areas.Ìý This is a competitve program; only five °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ students may attend each summer.Ìý

Entry Requirements

Current passport processing times areÌý6-9
weeks.Ìý Plan accordingly to avoid issues obtaining your visa, airine tickets, and other necessary items for travel.Ìý Failure to receive your passport in time can lead to postponement or cancellation of your program.
Visa:Ìý A visa is not required for US citizens attending Summer Academy at Linköping University.
Non-US citizens may need to apply for a visa before entering Sweden.Ìý Visa requirements can be found on the website of the

Traveling to Sweden without a visa can lead to denied entry, forced removal from your program, and financial consequences.
Health Insurance
It is University policy that you must have international health insurance for the time you are abroad.Ìý Only two options are approved to meet this requirement:

Walking/mobility/travel - Expect more walking than on-campus.Ìý It is a mixture of urban (pavement/concrete) and natural (grass/dirt) terrain, including uneven/hilly terrain and up/down flights of stairs.Ìý Some historic sites and tourist areas have limited handicapped accessibility.Ìý Sidewalks in these areas can be narrow with uneven surfaces.Ìý

Academics
Students at Linköping University Summer Academy take 1 class, equaling 3-4 sh at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼.
Courses are graded on either a 4 grade system (A, B, C, F) or a 3 grade system (A, C, F).
Courses are taught in English only and come from a variety of disciplines.Ìý
Housing and Meals
The Summer accommodation option at LiU is residence hall.Ìý Residence hall rooms are single occupancy and have a private bathroom.Ìý A shared kitchen is available to cook meals.Ìý Residence halls do not offer a meal plan; all meals are your responsibility.
