Meal Plan

Students Living On-Campus

Because eating is important, Meal Plans are required for students living in Thompson, Corbin-Olson and Lincoln-Washington-Grote Halls. Your meal plan dollars are automatically loaded onto your ID card at the start of each semester once you are registered for classes and checked in to your residence hall assignment.

Students Living Off-Campus

Off-campus and commuting students have the option of purchasing a Non-Residential Meal Plan via STARS. A minimum first time buy-in of $100 each year is required. You can use this money at any dining location and it will be billed to your student account. The convenience of charging your meals to your student account makes this option for off-campus and commuting students worth every cent.

Log-on to and select "Meal Plan Money and Rocky Dollars" from the Housing/Dining drop-down menu.

What are Rocky Dollars?

Your Rocky Dollars account is different from your Meal Plan account. While Rocky Dollars can be used at dining locations, they are most commonly used at other locations such as vending, and the bookstore. Meal Plan money can only be used for purchasing food at a dining location - Meal Plan money cannot be used for vending or bookstore type purchases.

Access to Services

Students requesting service(s) that require proper identification (i.e. Meal Plan, Student Recreation Center, entrance to an athletic event, etc) must present a valid °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ ID in order to access desired service(s). Access and/or service may be denied if a valid University ID is not presented.
