Student of the Month Award Winners
#COEHSproud of Damilola Oluwemimo, graduate student in Public Health, for being named the inaugural Student of the Month for the College of Education & Human Services!
In addition to being selected as a Think Tank Fellow for the American Journal of Public Health, Damilola has share her passion for the intersection of climate change and public health by working with several professional organizations, presenting at Macomb Senior High School, and serving as the president of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Student Health Advisory Committee.
After completing her graduate degree in Public Health, Domilola will be developing her data analyitcs skills through a Post-Bacculareate Certificate in the College of Business & Technology.

#COEHSproud of Skylar Kustra, undergraduate student inÌýLaw Enforcement & Justice Administration! She has been recognized as our Student of the Month for the significant impact she is having on the Carol Steam Police Department during her 360-hour internship this semester. Skylar's accomplishments & involvements started well before her senior-year internship.

Nominations
Help us celebrate the achievements in our community by nominating a student majoring (undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs) in a College of Education & Human Services program to be our Student of the Month!
Nominations are due on the 15th of each month and awarded for September, October, November, December/January, February, March, April, May.
Criteria
Successful nominees are making positive contributions to the College of Education & Human Services community through
- field experience (internship, practicum, student teaching, volunteering),
- academic research and/or publishing,
- state, regional, or national profession-based organizations and/or conferences (presenting, leading, volunteering, training, etc.),
- departmental student club (officers or active members),
- JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, inclusion) engagement or growth at the individual, club, major, department or COEHS level,
- aiding fellow students in their academic or professional success (study groups, group projects, co-presenting, etc.),
- creating a welcoming environment for fellow students in the classroom, club, or major, or
- active engagement in the learning process in the classroom, club, or major.

Special Note
Non-selected nominees are automatically considered for future Student of the Month recognition until the nomination expires at the end of the semester.
All nominators and non-selected nominees are included in a drawing for °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ swag for the semester in which they participated in the Student of the Month process.
