College of Education & Human Services

History, Vision, and Mission

Located within the College of Education and Human Services, the School of Education (SOE) is composed of faculty involved in diverse fields of expertise, professional activities, and interests. The SOE was formed in Fall 2019 by a merger of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and the Department of Educational Studies.

We seek to recruit a capable, diverse student body and to focus on continuous improvement of our programs by creating more meaningful clinical experiences for our students, establishing a series of knowledge and application assessments, and cultivating effective internal and external relationships.

We offer seven undergraduate degrees that lead to a teaching license, one undergraduate degree in the general study of education, seven advanced degrees, and numerous endorsement programs.
