Dr. Pamela Godt Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education Scholarship
CRITERIA
- A junior, senior or graduate student enrolled at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼
- GPA of 3.6 or higher
- Pursuing a degree in early childhood education, elementary education, special education, reading, bilingual/bicultural education or any other education major
- Active member of KDP's Alpha Epsilon chapter at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼
- Demonstrates leadership qualities
TERMS: Award of $500, non-renewable
SELECTION PROCESS
Recipient will be selected by the Board of Officers of Kappa Delta Pi - °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Chapter. Recipient will be selected based on GPA, active membership and demonstration of leadership.
In any year in which there is not a qualified recipient of this award, the amount of the award will be held to administer for the next academic year.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Qualifying interested candidates will need to write a letter of application explaining their educational goals and describing how this scholarship money could help them to advance their career in education.  In the letter, provide details demonstrating how you have actively participated in KDP events and provide details to demonstrate your leadership abilities. Also, submit your Resume/Vita and a transcript providing evidence of your most recent cumulative GPA.Â
PURPOSE OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The intent of this scholarship is for the recipient to advance their educational career.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Recipient will be awarded the scholarship at the KDP Initiation Ceremony held in the spring. Recipient will write a thank you letter to Dr. Pamela Godt and meet with Dr. Godt for a photo at a mutually agreed upon time.
