New Student Registration
New Student Registration is for freshman and transfer students who have been and are ready to make arrangements to attend the Macomb campus of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼. Once you are accepted to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼, you will receive a Welcome Packet with information about new student registration programs and options.
Eligible students may make a reservation online through STARS (click on "Launch STARS" to sign in and select New Student Registration Reservation from the drop-down menu). Space is limited. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmations will be mailed to students.

After your application has been received, you will receive notification from the admissions management area concerning your application status. []
Do I need placement testing?
All new freshmen are required to take placement tests and transfers who have not completed the required English composition course and an approved math class. Students needing placement testing will be required to attend a new student registration program. []
Will I have to pay for my classes when I register?
No. Major billing months are January, June and August. The University bills by semester, not by academic year. [more]

What if I decide not to attend Western after I have registered?
You may submit your withdrawal request in writing to the Office of the Registrar, or you may return your fall housing confirmation form indicating your cancellation of both housing and classes. [more]
