The Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Panhellenic Council are the unifying, governing, and coordinating bodies of the sorority and fraternity community. These councils are the representative body of as well as the communication link between the fraternities and sororities, campus organizations, and the community. The councils offer connection across letters in many ways! Each council offers a wide variety of programs that benefit the entire sorority and fraternity community ranging from educational programs to community service opportunities.

Fraternity and Sorority Life in the Office of Student听Engagement听also serves the members of the fraternity and sorority community through chapter and council advisement, individual consultation, program support and resource development.听

Social fraternities and sororities must be registered as a student organization and be members of one of the governing councils. The Office of Student Engagement maintains records on the discipline status of registered student organizations.
