Policies

Room rental charges for use of space in the University Union will be incurred depending upon the nature of the event and identity of sponsoring groups.

  • Recognized student organizations are not charged for space for meetings or events that involve °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ students, faculty and staff, unless admission or participant fees are charged.
  • Recognized student organizations will be charged the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ rate for space rental for events where admission or participant fees (including donations) are charged and/or event includes off-campus participants.
  • University departments/organizations are not charged for space for meetings or events involving only °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ students, faculty and staff unless admission or participant fees are charged.
  • University departments/organizations will be charged for events where admission or participant fees (including donations) are charged and/or event includes off-campus participants.
  • Off-campus individuals/organizations will be charged the Non-°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ rate for space rental for all events scheduled in the University Union.
  • All wedding receptions will be charged a $300 room rental fee regardless of room choice

  • The Union Advisory Board is empowered to grant exemptions to policies mentioned here and in the Policy Manual. To apply for exemption, please submit a through Purple Post at least three weeks prior to your event.
